Preservation Jazz Hall

We opened Preservation Jazz Hall this week for the first time since the Katrina disasters.
This historical landmark in the middle of the French Quarter which stands for the music and tradition of New Orleans stood proud that night as Music Rising along with U2's the Edge, Gibson Guitar and producer Bob Ezrin helped the Preservation Jazz Hall band make music again.
It was a phenomenal evening of music but the most impressive thing was the spirit of the people. Many of who were devastated from the storms and lost everything came out to rejoice in the music and let the world know that New Orleans is back. Music Rising to date has served over 1,400 musicians and we are proud to be a part of it. There is so much to be done in New Orleans and the Gulf Region and everyone should help where they can remembering that New Orleans is responsible for so much music which enriches our lives today.

You can find out more about Music Rising at www.musicrising.org or www.gibson.com. Let us know your thoughts or special stories of New Orleans.
